The following are guidelines and information set by the Spruce View Community Association.

ALL PRICES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

RESERVATION DEPOSIT

A minimum $100 is required at the time of booking to reserve the hall.
 

HALL RENTAL FEES

“Basic” hall rental fees will be determined at the time of booking. These fees must be receipted by the Spruce View Community Association a minimum of 60 days prior to your rental. These fees do not include bar fees, projector rental, and/or other undetermined fees.

DAMAGE DEPOSIT

A $750 CASH or ETRANSFER damage deposit is due when the keys are handed over to you for your rental.

You will be refunded any amount owed to you after damages are assessed and the final bill is determined.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

Your $100 Reservation Deposit is non-refundable. Your “basic” hall rental fee is refundable up to 60 days prior to your event. *If you cancel within 60 days of your rental date – this amount is non- refundable as well.

*If another rental books in on your cancellation date, your basic hall rental fee will be refunded.

 

RENTAL RATES

 

WEEKEND RATE – Gives you full use of the hall (Projector extra)

$1,500– Friday 10am to Sunday 2 pm
$1,700 – Friday 10am to Monday 2pm

 

DAILY RATE – $750 - Gives you full use of the hall for one day (Projector extra)

 

MEETING ROOM

$150 - Option #1 – less than 3 hours

$175 - Option #2 – more than 3 hours

 

$550 - Main Hall & Meeting Room

 

KITCHEN

$100 - Option #1 - Partial (Includes use of coolers, countertops, coffee urns & cups)

$200 - Option #2 – Full (Includes use of dishes, dishwasher, stove/ovens, buffet tables, heat tables, etc.) 

 

 

BAR POLICIES

***HOME-MADE WINE, BEER OR CIDER ARE NOT ALLOWED AT ANY FUNCTIONS!!***** As per Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission

The Spruce View Community Association will provide the following for your bar:

1. ·        Bartenders at a rate of $15/bartender/hr (*subject to change with Alberta wage changes)

   o   2 bartenders for up to 200 guests, 3 bartenders for 200+ guests

   ·        Ice at $3/bag

   ·        Cups at $0.10ea (7oz & 18oz)

2. You will be required to provide the following for your bar:

3. ·        Liquor license (purchase receipt including all liquor served must be attached)

   ·        Party Alcohol Liability Insurance with Spruce View Community Association listed as an additional insured (available through your home or auto insurance provider)

   ·        Liquor

   ·        Mix and garnishment

   ·        Cash float (usually about $200 toonies, loonies, $5, $10)

   ·        Drink tickets

   You are free to set your own drink prices, we will be in contact with you shortly before your event to sort out these details as well as any other special requests you may have for the bartenders.

   Corkage Fee Calculation

    

   After your event has ended, your corkage fee (cost of bartenders, ice, and cups) will be calculated then deducted from your $750 damage deposit.  You may choose to supply your own ice and cups if you wish but bartenders must be organized by the Spruce View Community Association.  After the corkage fee has been deducted, a cheque for the remaining balance will be mailed to you within one month.  If your corkage fee is greater than $750, an invoice will be mailed to you and must be paid within one month.

DECORATIONS

1. Decorations on ceiling hooks only. No tape, nails, etc. Sticky Tac is allowed.

2. Minimum use of confetti. NO STRAW PLEASE.

3. No Fireworks

 

CLEAN-UP

1. You will be provided with a cleanup list when the hall keys are given to you for your rental. You are expected to leave the hall in the same condition it was found in. You will be provided with everything you need to do the necessary clean-up. If clean-up is not done to expectations you will be charged $50.

2. The Spruce View Community Hall is a non-smoking facility. An ash-tray is provided outside of the main entry for those who wish to smoke. If the outside main entry/parking lot is left untidy with cigarette butts YOU WILL BE CHARGED $50.

3. All liquor must be removed from the hall at the closing time stated on the liquor license. NO EXCEPTIONS

 

The Spruce View Community Hall has the following available for your rental:

1. 40 rectangular tables – 2 1⁄2 feet x 8 feet

2. 30 round tables – 5 foot diameter

3. Icicle lights hanging around the hardwood floor

4. Several smaller tables for cake, guest book, etc.

5. Built in sound system

6. Projector (Additional $100 Rental Fee) and Projection Screen

TRAILERS and RV’s

We encourage you to park on the south side of Millennium Park.
NO HOOK-UPS PROVIDED!
