Markerville Garage Sale

The weekend of the June 22 & 23rd will be the annual Tractor Pull in the Day Use area of Markerville Park.
 
The Society & Markerville residents will be holding a garage sale. See the information below:
 
Icelandic Society Garage Sale
 
The SGSIS Board decided that we would participate in the Markerville community garage sale to be held on Saturday, June 22 at the Buttermaker House.  
 
We have some items to dispose of and are looking for items that any members would like to donate towards the garage sale  would be appreciated.
 
Funds will go towards the restoration of the Buttermaker House Project.
 
Items to be donated need to be delivered by Friday June 21.  to the creamery.

Dump Station in Spruce View

There is NO dump station in the hamlet of Spruce View.  The closest location of a dump station would be in Innisfail, AB.

Spruce View Minor Hockey registration is open for next season. Early Bird rates in effect until May 31st.

Markerville Opening 2019

Saturday May 11th is opening day for the Creamery.
 
Saturday May 18th, we will be holding our annual Pancake Breakfast.
Breakfast will be from 9 am to 11 am at Fensala Hall.
Breakfast will be $5.00 per person. Under 6 years will be free.
 
Saturday June 1st - it's clean up day at the Tindastoll Cemetery. It all begins at 9 am. 
 
Saturday June 15th is the annual Icelandic National Day celebrations beginning at 12:30 pm. 

 


Spruce View Canada Day 2019

Spruce View Canada Day Parade needs help.  

"Help save " Canada Day Parade"  Volunteers are needed to keep 2019  Canada Day Parade afloat. 
Positions required :  Parade committee, Participate organizer, Parade Marshall, and volunteers along the parade route on July 1st.

King of Kings Worship Services

Bethany Lutheran & Christ Lutheran churches are joining to become one congregation.  The new congregation effective June 1, 2016 will be called King of Kings.  

As of May 1, 2018 all regular worship services will be at Dickson (1911 2nd Ave) - Sunday Mornings at 10:00am.
