Walk for Dogs

The Spruce View and District Lions Club is again sponsoring the  Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides.

When:  Sunday, May 26, 2017

Times:  Registration 11:00 AM; Walk 12:00 AM; Free lunch to follow 

Where:  Double Tree Village (9 miles west of Spruce View on Hwy 54 to RR 41 then North to Village). 

How: Get your pledge forms from: All Spruce View Lion members,  Spruce View Co-op,  Innisfail Veterinary Service

All proceeds go toward the training and placement of dogs for Canine Vision, Hearing Ear, Seizure Response, Autism Assistance, Diabetic Alert and Special Skills. Funds are to train dogs for our area to help our friends, family, and neighbours.

It is not necessary to have a dog to participate.  Just bring your pledge forms and enjoy a walk in the country or a tour of the Village.

Dump Station in Spruce View

There is NO dump station in the hamlet of Spruce View.  The closest location of a dump station would be in Innisfail, AB.

Markerville Opening 2019

Saturday May 11th is opening day for the Creamery.
Saturday May 18th, we will be holding our annual Pancake Breakfast.
Breakfast will be from 9 am to 11 am at Fensala Hall.
Breakfast will be $5.00 per person. Under 6 years will be free.
Saturday June 1st - it's clean up day at the Tindastoll Cemetery. It all begins at 9 am. 
Saturday June 15th is the annual Icelandic National Day celebrations beginning at 12:30 pm.

"Help save " Canada Day Parade"  Volunteers are needed to keep 2019  Canada Day Parade afloat. 
Positions required :  Parade committee, Participate organizer, Parade Marshall, and volunteers along the parade route on July 1st.

King of Kings Worship Services

Bethany Lutheran & Christ Lutheran churches are joining to become one congregation.  The new congregation effective June 1, 2016 will be called King of Kings.  

As of May 1, 2018 all regular worship services will be at Dickson (1911 2nd Ave) - Sunday Mornings at 10:00am.
